TEHRAN

Besides being the capital of Iran from 1750 by the Qajar dynasty, Tehran offers ancient and modern attractions. Many people say that Tehran have to be avoided, because of the traffic, for too many buildings, but in reality our capital offer an old historical center full of history and art. Obviously it is not comparable to other Iranian cities, Tehran is unique, for its old and its modern history, for its nightlife with traffic, cafes, theaters and art galleries. The most historic palaces are the culmination of Persian art and the city represents the entire nation where all the languages, minorities and religions of Iran live.

Main sights:

• Shah's Palaces: Tehran has tree main palace Golestan Palace, the main Shah's Palace, Sa'ad Abad, the Reza Pahlavi's Quarter and Niavaran Palace the last seat of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi and the Summer Palace for the Qajar dinasty.
• Bazar-e Bozorg: is the biggest bazar in the world, according to its size, is also the main economic centre of Iran, recently renovated, among the small alleys you can admire the Shah mosque, and some of the typical Saray, small squares that were used as accommodation for merchants. Inside there is also Thaddaeus Church the oldest armenian church in Tehran. Around Nasser Khosrow Avenue is the main pedestrian street in the historical center, with other beautiful palaces and houses.
• Bagh-e Melli and National Museum: its a beautiful pedestrian place, now it's the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in the Qajar time it was a place for military parades, inside is located the National Museum with a rich exhibition of pre-Islamic archeology up to the end of the 20th century.
• Tabyat Bridge: is one of the new and modern symbols of the city, this pedestrian bridge that lights up during the night, connects two systems of parks offering bars and restaurants inside.
• Azadi Tower: it was built for the celebrations of the 2500 years of the Persian Empire, it is one of the city's symbols especially famous for the demonstrations during the Iranian Revolution.
• Milad Tower: completed in 2007, it is visible from all over the city, with its 435 meters it is the sixth tallest tower in the world.

TEHRAN PROVINCE

the province of Tehran offers many types of attractions, ranging from mountains where you can go hiking and trekking and even skiing, and small villages full of history and surrounded by nature.

• Shemshak and Dizin Ski Resort: Shemshak is a village 58 km north from the capital, and offers form october till april a ski resort full of ski slopes with international standards, Dizin is also a ski half of the capital, much larger than Shemshak.
• Damavand: 5600 m high, is a volcano, which is the highest peak in Iran and the highest volcano in Asian. It is a significant important for old Persian and Zoroastrian Mythology, and an important sight for nature, trekking land climbing lovers.
